Julie Norton
Grade 3 Homeroom Teacher
My name is Julie, and I am so excited to be returning to the Valley and joining the team at The Booker School! I grew up in Kentville, and after obtaining both my Bachelor of Psychology and Education from Crandall University, I ventured to Northern Alberta. Over the last 20 years, I have taught a variety of grades, as well as being both a life skills and learning support teacher.
I believe in the potential of all kids! I recognize all students as individuals with different strengths and stretches. I promote growth mindset, independence, self regulation, risk-taking, and collaboration. I love to spark learning, watch children succeed, and help them be proud of their growth and accomplishments. It is my desire to come alongside your children as they explore, learn, and grow into positive, contributing citizens of our school, our community, and the world around them.
